How Important Are Good Eating Habits For Children? And How To Teach Them To Your Child.

Good Eating Habits For Children

We hear so much these days about how important healthy eating is for our long-term good health. It seems only sensible to introduce our kids to good eating habits and a healthy diet at a young age and make sure they know what good eating habits are.

But just how important are good eating habits for children? What are eating habits anyway and how do you teach them to your child? Let’s take a look and see if we can work it out.

Many toddlers are picky eaters and may refuse to eat most new foods given to them, preferring instead to stick with what they know. My 3-year old son Benni is definitely one of those kids. By looking at the science, we can work out why this is and learn how to encourage them to eat and enjoy vegetables and other healthy food.

How to Get Your Toddler to Sleep: A Survival Guide for Dads

How To Get Your Toddler To Sleep

As a Dad, it’s easy to feel a little left out when it comes to the parenting of young children. One of the most challenging situations, I had to realize for myself, was to figure out how to get your toddler to sleep in the evening. Without spending HOURS at his bedside.

Many families are still running a somewhat “classic” family model: While Mom stays at home and takes care of the kids (which is a great job! Moms, you’re awesome!!!) or works part-time, Dad goes to the office working his 9 to 5 job. That means that we as Dad often are challenged by situations our partners handle with ease. I get that! I’ve been there many times!

Luckily, many things have changed since the 60s, 70s, and 80s: More and more Dads WANT to be more involved in parenting! That’s great! And often challenging 🙂

Hi! I am Chris, and in the first two years after my son Benni was born, I was a Stay At Home Dad. I faced all those challenges. While it wasn’t always easy, I think I have developed quite a few techniques to stay on top and survive as a Stay At Home Dad.

In this blog post, I want to share with you a few of the strategies that worked quite well for ME when I try to get Benni to sleep…

Carrera Slot Car Tracks Reviewed: The Best Slot Car Set For Kids

Slot Car Set For Kids

Hi Dads!

Well, I assume that, if you’re reading THIS particular blog post, you’re most likely a Dad. This article is all about race cars, fuel, ultra wide tires, oil and dirt. It’s about action-packed wheel to wheel racing. You know!? Dad stuff! Racing for the big boys… and their kids 🙂

In this blog post, I want to discuss why I love slot car racing, especially as a father-son-activity. I want to talk about why racing-action is great and how you can enjoy it safely TOGETHER, even if your kid is just two years old. And I will explain to you why I believe that a set from the Carrera Digital 132 series is the ultimate slot car sets for kids and their dads.

Side Note: If you’re a Mom, please know that you are, obviously, WELCOME as well. My intro was meant as a little, funny teaser! But obviously, slot car racing is something that moms and their kids (be it a son or a daughter) can enjoy just as well as dads can. My wife is the best example: She loves racing with Benni. Whenever possible, we try to make this a family activity and race with three cars at the same time. Yes, that’s possible and I’ll elaborate on this later! So please keep reading…

Positive Parenting Solutions Review: Is It Worth Your Money? A Dad’s Perspective

A Dad's Review Of Positive Parenting Solutions

Did you ever think about hiring a personal trainer? Maybe take lessons to learn how to play golf or how to play the guitar? I certainly did, and I know many people do so! Many of us feel like we need an expert to teach them those complex skills, right?

When I became a Dad back in July 2015 I started to wonder: We hire all these coaches and experts who we pay to teach us all these different skills, but then we somehow take it for granted that we are born as “good parents”. That we don’t need any training on that matter? Even though it’s probably the biggest (yet most rewarding) challenge in our lives!? I certainly felt that way. But deep down I also felt that I could do better…

Today, I want to invite you to join me on my Review of Positive Parenting Solutions, which is an online course that promises to fill that gap. By teaching you “How to Get Kids to Listen Without Nagging, Reminding or Yelling”. Let’s take a look at it together and answer the following questions:

  • How does the course keep up with that promise?
  • Is the course good and is right for YOU?
  • And finally: Is it worth your hard-earned money?

Pro-Tip for the busy parent: If you are less of a reader, make sure to AT LEAST check out my “Video Review And Digital Unboxing Of Positive Parenting Solutions” below to get an idea what the course is about and if it is right for YOU.

Best Bath Toys for Toddlers: The Best Toys To Spend Quality Bathing Time With Your Child

Best Bath Toys for Toddlers: Smiling Toy In Bath Tub

When your child is a newborn, he/she comes home from the hospital and takes baths for the sole purpose of getting clean. I remember very well how Benni didn’t like water at first. As many babies will at first, he had an aversion to water, as many babies will at first. Soon after, though, bath time became a great time for us to bond; and so will it for you and your child. You have to watch them closely anyway, so why not make it about learning or fun? In this blog post, I want to share with you a list of the best bath toys for toddlers and their dads (and moms 🙂 ). Sit back, relax and enjoy the show…

How To Teach Your Child About Stranger Danger: A Step-By-Step Guide To Teach Your Kids To Protect Themselves

How To Teach Your Child About Stranger Danger

Today’s blog post is quite different. I usually blog about toys and having fun with my son. I embrace positivity, and I enjoy looking on the bright side of life much more than thinking about the bad things and bringing negativity to the table. Part of being a parent, however, is that we have to be responsible; and also think about how we can teach our children about danger and risk in our world. Without scaring them!
